Dov Maisel is the Chief of International Operations of the Zaka International Rescue Unit

Working alongside emergency personnel responding to accidents, disasters and terror attacks, ZAKA is coordinating nearly 1500 volunteers responding to incidents in Israel and abroad

A company commander in the Israel Defense Forces Urban Rescue Unit, Dov Maisel is also a National Disaster Response Team (NDRT) member of the International Red Cross

ALON SMOLARSKI

V.P. OPERATIONS

A veteran flight medic, Alon Smolarski served in a Search & Rescue squadron and worked for an international air ambulance service.

Alon was a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) paramedic for many years and managed the medical training department of a large EMS organization.

Alon is a former adviser to the Ministry of Health in Nigeria where he implemented and managed the first ALS ambulance service.

Alon spent several years in West Africa managing a private medical assistance and medical support company.

During this time, he gained an intimate knowledge of the challenges involved with emergency health care in developing regions. 

A past president of the Israeli Paramedics Association, Alon Smolarski was instrumental in the creation of the first academic track for paramedics and was actively involved in numerous legislative actions.

Alon also held an executive position in a leading medical assistance organization, a role that made him familiar with the management of complex cases requiring a challenging coordination of resources in demanding environment.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Doctor Zalut is a leading emergency physician and the Director of the Emergency Department at the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

Doctor Zalut is a widely recognized expert in emergency care with many years of professional practice in the challenging field of trauma.

A Flight Surgeon (Active Reserve) with the Israeli Air Force Search and Rescue (SAR) squadron, Doctor Zalut is a graduate of the University of Arizona School of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Mati also served as the commanding officer of the ZAKA International Rescue Unit where he gained a wide experience in the provision of medical care under adverse and challenging circumstances.
